LET'S GO DIVING!
There's one thing you can always count on. I'm going diving every chance I get. I'm just now planning my schedule for 2009 and it's wide open. I will be in South Florida for the entire month of September spending part or all of that time in Venice. Diving for Fossilized Shark Teeth is pretty damn hard to beat. In Sept. of 08 I filled two shoe boxes full with one 5 incher and several 4s, several 3s and bunches of one and two inchers. We also found lots of fossilized clams, lion paw scallops, one mastodon tooth, several horse teeth, sting ray barbs, three toed sloth claws and lots of unidentified mammal bones several of which show the marks of being eatin by sharks. I might go to Key Largo for a couple of days or over on the Gold Coast to see if we can turn up a few pieces of eight. If you would like to tag along or you have a better idea just drop me a line. If you want to go diving for relics, bottles, fossils or spear fishing I'm ready to go.

TANK FILLS
If your local to the Mid. Tn. area and need a tank fill I can hook you up. I've got a compressor sitting here just begging to be ran. I'll fill your 80. cube for $6. You may have to leave your tank as I'm not always here and I'm the only one who runs the compressor. You could call ahead, it's best if you email me first. Use the diveman@charter.net address though. LIFT BAGS
Brand new lift bags with 50 lbs. or 100 lbs. Both with release valve and heavy duty D ring to connect to your work. The relief valve cord extends under the bottom for easy one handed use since you'll probably be steadying the load with the other hand. The Heavy Duty D ring at the bottom of the bag is attached to the strap that encircles the bag to distribute the weight evenly. Both are brand new very well made bag. A great flag for your boat, shop, garage or where ever you hang out and talk scuba. This flag is brand new. I just took it out of the plastic to measure it. THE PADI WHEEL
If you've not bought a dive planning wheel yet what are you waiting for? You don't know what your missing. They are too much fun! No not using it - making fun of all your buds who can't, that's the fun part. It's really not that hard to use, simple once you get the hang of it. At first glance though most people think it's written in hieroglyphs. It's like handing someone under 50 a slide rule and watching that confused but interested look come over their face. So much fun to watch.
They really do work, I use mine from time to time just so I can compare it to my computer. (damn I'm a geek) You can have this one super cheap, brand new in the package with all the instructions and stuff that comes with it. The Wheel, water proof bag, instructions, reusable data chart. This things retails for $44. you can have this one for 1/2 that.

LINE CUTTER
I can think of a lot of reasons to own one of these. Sure we call it a line cutter here but it has others. EMTs as well as Firemen and Police officers use this same device to cut seat belts when extracting car accident victims. If you've ever tried to undo a seat belt when the guy was hanging in it upside down you would appreciate the wisdom of inventor. I keep one in my car and I wear one on my BCD. There's nothing better for cutting heavy fishing line off the reef or a wreck. Should you ever have to extract your bud from his bcd, especially a Tech style you'll be glad you had it. A great and inexpensive piece of safety gear. There's no excuse not to have one.

EMT SHEARS
I can make the same argument for these as I did for the line cutters above. They come with a great sheath that holds your shears in tight and snap right onto your BCD accessory D ring. I've never lost a pair and as long as you remove them from the sheath to let them dry after a day of diving they won't rust even when diving salt water. They will hold their edge for years and will cut damn near anything! They look small in the photo but they are full sized. Over seven inches long.
If you don't need another piece of gear hanging off your BCD you can buy just the shears. They fit neatly into your BCD pocket.

CONSOLE COVER
There is nothing quite as dis-heartening as looking down at a new piece of equipment and seeing that first scratch. It always happens to the expensive gear the quickest too. I'm sure that sooner of later you will put a big ol dent right in the middle of that new console but this little gadget may prolong the "newness". It a heavy padded codura cover that just slips right over your console computer or pressure gauges when your storing them away. I've put more dents and dings in my gear during transport than any other time. This will certainly help with that problem. Fit's any and all consoles.

DOC'S EAR PLUGS
If your bothered by water in your ears or you have a hard time equalizing this may be the best money you'll ever spend. A tiny hole in the ear plug slows the pressure change to a more manageable rate. You still need to equalize pressure but it's much easier. You'll never hear anyone speak badly of these if they have used them. They are great. They come in several sizes so you can get that just right fit. I only carry the clear ear plugs as the colored ones look funny when your wearing them.

No need in waiting around, once you've got that C card in your pocket it's time for the next step. ADVANCED CERTIFACATION! It's one of the easiest and most fun classes too. It will save you tons of hassle from shops and dive masters. If all you have is your open water card they can't take you to sites over 60 feet deep and a lot of sites are over that. They can't take the liability. So if you go you have to sit out the deep dive and that's no fun. It's brand new in the box with data carrier and log book.
