JEAN CLOTHWe have been phasing in BRI Jean Wool since Jan. of 2005. It has taken us that long to use all the Kline's we had in stock. Now almost 2 years later, even our most demanding customers have been thrilled with the quality of our garments. We have shipped thousands of garments made from our new jean to our customers here in the states and around the world and have not had a single one returned due to unsatisfactory cloth. They are available in 4 different colors. Taupe, best described as a very light gray. It takes a dye easily. A lot of the guys will tea dye a garment made of this color for an aged look. Taupe on brown, taupe (light gray) color wool yarn woven with brown cotton yarn which gives the cloth a nice light brown tint. Natural gray jean wool, gray wool yarn woven with gray cotton yarn. (It's gray, I don't know how else to explain it). Brown jean wool, brown wool yarn woven with brown cotton yarn. The photo below is of 4 jean cloth vests. This will give you some idea of the colors but remember the color may look different depending on the monitor you use to view it.

MULE EAR PANTSBUTTERNUT BROWN!They of course have mule ear pockets. They have 4 hole tin with paper back buttons (sewn on)for the fly and for the suspenders. If you like we will include the correct amount of bone buttons at no charge. You will have to change them out yourself. The inner waist band is made of a heavy cotton that has a very homespun look. We are happy to be able to offer our friends and customers a new line of sky blue wool trousers for infantry. Many of you have told us that you wanted a more economical pair of Union pants since you only wear sky blue once or twice a year when you are forced to do so at gun point. (Friends don't let friends galvanize).So we actually listened and here's what we came up with. These are the exact same pattern (watch pocket and all) as our standard S.B. infantry trousers. The craftsmanship is excellent as always so you've nothing to worry about there. But by buying the fabric in mega-bulk were were able to find a woolen mill who would cut us a deal on a slightly lesser grade of wool. The wool is also a slightly darker color of blue. It is still Sky Blue but it's a little darker than what we normally sell. So here's the deal, the sewing is great, the pattern is correct but the wool is slightly less sturdy. Our standard Infantry trousers are available in Confederate or Richmond gray. Federal or sky blue wool. Also available in butternut. Our infantry trousers come with pewter buttons for the fly and suspenders. They are included in price and sewn on. The Union trousers have straight pockets while the Confederate trousers have mule ear style pockets. They have the split waist band design with a leather thong in the back for a small amount of waist size adjustment.

Our jean wool vests are cut on the same military pattern as the wool vest above. They have a 3 pocket front with 9 buttons. Normally, we use wooden buttons on our jean vest. There is an adjustment strap in the back. Lined and backed with 100% cotton. You have to make 2 choices to buy a vest.
